Telephone landline
Although telephone landlines are being slowly taken out and replaced by IP networks, the trusty landline is still the most common transmission path for alarm signals. It is the most basic method of sending alarm events to our monitoring platform. You can use the built-in modem in your alarm panel if it has one, or a device called a Digicom (Digital Communicator). They connect your alarm panel to the phone line to transmit alarm events to our server.
GSM Mobile Phone Network
If you don't have a phone line, or worry that it may be attacked in a breakin, then you can use a GSM terminal from IP Alarms called the CellAlarm-GSM to wirelessly send alarms to our servers using the GSM Network.
Internet Connection (IP)
Using an IP alarm communicator like the DigiNet, DSC Tl150 (shown below) or Linksys spa3102 allows us to supervise the connection between your security system and our platform. All you need to do is connect the IP communicator between your alarm panel and your router and we will be able to alert you within a second if an event takles place.
