IP Alarms are "physically" located in Thailand where the cost of premises, staff, Internet connectivity, computing, telecommunications and a host of other services are available at a fraction of what they cost in the UK. Currently, our operators all speak English as their first language, and some of them are actually home workers based in the UK. Due to our high level of dependency on Internet connectivity for our operators, working in this way adds yet another layer of redundancy to the availability of our service.
Our web servers are physically located in high-spec data centres in the UK and USA, so even if Thailand were to drop off the face of the earth one day, our operators in England can keep on monitoring. The 7 hour time difference between Thailand and the UK also works in our favour as none of our operators have to work through the night. This allows them to stay alert and work to the best of their ability at all times.
We do not have any costly UK security industry accreditation or insurance and therefore we do not need to pass such costs on to you the Customer. In the UK, whenever you mention a priority level 1 police response - it seems that everyone wants their "cut". IP Camera Integration
Our Alarm Monitoring Platform allows subscribers to maintain a record of any number of IP cameras in the online database. The database stores details of software commands supported by each camera along with various recording parameters such as image size & quality.
When an alarm signal is received by the platform, the database is checked to find out what triggers should be issued to IP cameras and the appropriate software command is sent. Images are then written to the server hard drive for safe storage and review by a monitoring operator or subscriber.
